Showcase #2 - Scar-Latte

Showcase #2 - Scarlett is our Little Miss Independent.  She doesn't back down from a challenge.  She works at something until she gets it right.  And when she gets an idea in her head, she figures out a way to make it happen.  She's pretty much a mini-Jeremy!  On Mother's Day/Jeremy's birthday, she decided she wanted to start riding her bike without training wheels.  So, Jeremy took off the wheels and took her out for a little lesson.  It didn't go very well.  She kept falling over, couldn't hold her balance and forget about steering!  She stuck with it for about half an hour and then it was bath and bedtime.  It rained for the next three days, but finally stopped on Wednesday afternoon.  Scarlett begged to get back out on her bike.  So, after dinner I took her out while Jeremy was with Fiona at gymnastics.  Scarlett put on her helmet, hopped on her bike and simply put - took off!  I had to help her get her balance for about 10 minutes and then I was no longer needed.  Jeremy and Fiona came home and they could not believe their eyes!  She was off and biking!  Way to go Scar-latte!!!  This is one example of when her strong will and determination worked for the good!!!

Balance issues....

And she's got it!!

Welcome!

Welcome to our Shaw Showcase!  I'm going to try this Blog thing out in an attempt to showcase some of our life up here in New England.  Not everyone is on Facebook so hopefully this will be a way to connect with family and friends that are interested in what we're up to - up here.  Forgive me if it is a little messy at the beginning.  I have no idea what I'm doing so I have to muddle my way through all of this.

Showcase #1 - - Fiona had her ice show this past Saturday.  I'm going to attempt to download her video to the Blog so you can see her in action.  She's taken ice skating lessons for six months and has done really well.  We're super proud of her!   OK, so the video posting didn't work....I think it is too "big" and I don't know how to "shrink" it.  So, here are a couple of pictures of her on the day of....

Just before getting in the car for her 1st ice show.  Isn't she adorable??!!
Thanks to Nikki for making the outfit fit!  You are a life saver!!!  So thankful I didn't need to use the stapler!

Her little solo part.
