Showcase #7 - Visitors!!!

There are so many obvious differences between our life in Georgia and our life now in New England.  One big difference is the amount of visitors we have.  There were months when we were hosting visitors every weekend in Georgia.  In our one year of living here, we've had Jody's parents twice and Jeremy's once...that's it!  Until this past week....we had house guests again - - - YEAH!!!  We had the best time catching up, sight seeing, playing and sitting on our deck chatting until the wee hours of the next morning!

Brent, Kari and Drew arrived on the evening of July 3rd.  On the 4th, Jeremy made his killer cinnamon roll pancakes, eggs, bacon and fruit salad.  We then took everyone to Purgatory Chasm to do a little rock climbing.

We then came home and grilled out hamburgers.  The girls made our festive strawberries for dessert.

After an early dinner, we headed to Providence, RI for fireworks.  Our evening consisted of hearing Miss USA 2012 (a R.I. native) sing, the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra perform and then watching an incredible firework show on the Narragansett Bay at India Point Park.

On July 5th, we headed to Narragansett, R.I. and did Scarborough Beach.

The water was COLD but that didn't stop anyone from jumping in!  Did I mention that it was COLD??!!

These two got buried and then broke free!

This one was freezing!

This one had a blast bobbing in the waves, body surfing and playing in the sand.

On July 6th, we headed into Boston for the day.  We did the Freedom Trail, Beacon Street, Cheers and a couple of other sites.  Here we are at the Boston Common Frog Pond.  Lincoln & Drew ended up strolling around Boston for about half an hour in just their skivvies after this!  It's just too hard to resist splashing, especially in a "puddle" like this one!

After a long day of walking around the city, we headed to Legal Seafood for the best seafood around!  Here's our little foodie with her half lobster - - - which she loved!

And here's Brent with his whole - stuffed lobster!  A little bit of heaven right here in the NE!

We walked across the street and watched boats pass in the harbor and planes land at Logan Airport.

And we would not be good tour guides if we didn't take our guest to Mike's Pastry for dessert! That place always brings huge smiles and a few inches to the hips!

Puzzle putting together team - - - 300 pieces = 3 days

Out on the deck with their ice cream cones before bed.....Always a great ending to a great day!
